Take part in a magical evening at Pecar Nature Center exploring the world of fireflies—Indiana’s state insect! This all-ages night hike will take you along our trails as we search for fireflies and learn about the fascinating science behind their bioluminescence. Discover how and why fireflies flash, and what makes them so special in our ecosystem. Participants will be provided with special nighttime lights for the hike. Don’t miss this glowing adventure!
Note:
A majority of this program takes place outdoors, please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for hiking.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of inclement weather, registrants will be notified by email and be issued a full refund or can receive a credit to their account which can be used toward other programming.
